I miss my pencil color.
I love my iPad Pro as my current drawing tool, can’t beat the convenience it gives you. But as much as I love digital drawing, I am more into a traditional drawing at heart. I love the feel of textured paper and can’t help myself to stroke every printed stuff and smell it (don’t you like paper’s smell?).
I guess I am a mixed media artist. I can’t really draw with one media on a single drawing, well most of the time usually. My to-go winning combination tools are watercolor and pencil color. A couple of years ago, I’ve found my love of pencil color drawing. Especially after E bought me a set of Polychromos. You know, that mega-expensive pencil color in a green tin box your lecturer recommends in class. You definitely can’t afford it during uni, but your classy friend had it anyway, so jealous!!
I thought I can give it another go during the lockdown. But apparently, I wasn’t that free anyway. So I decided to have a dedicated time just for drawing. My first try was my new social media profile picture. Not 100% happy about it, will try something else later.
