Have I shared this story before?
Sometimes when I baked too many goodies at home, I ask E to share them with his coworker.
One day, we have too many banana muffins so then E shares them with one of his best buds at work. A few days later, we've got a home-baked Macaroons (in 3 different flavors) in return.
It was delish! But to think of comparing my blender muffin to a macaroon is a bit... 😂
I like making timeline, it shows you someone's life journey.
Everytime I've got a timeline project, I need to have a look on the whole story first then decided what's the best way to draw or symbolize each milestones while keeping in mind that everything need to flow together :)
This timeline belongs to one of my precious friend/ family. I really hope they like it 🥰
Purple combines the calm stability of blue and the fierce energy of red.
Do you know that if we go back to our pre-historic existence, the color purple is a rare occurring color in nature, and as a result is often seen as having sacred meaning. It means Wisdom, Bravery, and Spirituality.
Variations of purple convey different meanings: Light purples are light-hearted, floral, and romantic. The dark shades are more intellectual and dignified.
Most young people view purple as a happy color. Remember Barney? No baggage. Older adults view the color through a broader perspective.
What do you think about purple? 💜
From different sources.
They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. As the going down of the sun and in the morning. We will remember them.
Lest we forget.
Artwork for #earthday yesterday.
Trying out the new Sketchbook from @stillmanandbirn @hobbylandnz with my old @copic_official markers. Just as expected, the thick paper did its best to prevent bleeding but some parts that had more blending did bleed nevertheless. Good enough in my opinion...
I wasn't too happy about the darker green color of her hair but I run out of options. Maybe I should get more markers 🤣
@circatheatre for this week's challenge!
I love how symmetrical this building looks! I love symmetrical houses, it satisfies me just by looking at them.
Our neighbor recently told me they have an annual Christmas trip to the theatre. Hmm, I've never been there even once 😗
Happy Easter Monday, folks!
It's the last day of a long weekend here in New Zealand.
When I first moved to this country, I was amazed that Good Friday and Easter Monday are public holidays. So we'll be back to work tomorrow.
But, you know what? The only thing better than a long weekend is that it's followed by a short week 😜
This shop is literally just at the corner from my work. When the previous store closed and they did a renovation to prepare for a new store opening, I saw pink tiles. I wondered what would open here next, every time I walk past it on my way home.
Then one day, I saw a glimpse of the front window sticker. It's @duckislandicecream !!! Rejoice!
What's your favorite flavor?
My one is actually Fairy Bread 😂
Now that I think about it, I need a tub of it immediately.

For all those people with no green thumb out there, please remember, succulent is our friend 😇
But hey, even succulents need maintenance. I notice we need to keep trimming them otherwise they'll go wild and leggy(?), especially if they don't have enough sun...
Please can someone share some tips for healthy, stay-in-size succulents? 🤣
@havanabarwellington for this week's Challenge.
Unfortunately, me and E are not into drinks. Well, I do love and enjoy my drink, but it's not like I need to get it every week or so. So unfortunately, I almost got no knowledge to this city's hippest drink place or similar...
Hey, I suddenly feel like having a painkiller. Is it because we're at Havana? 🍹
How many weeks have I been doing this, again?
Any idea which storefront should I draw next week? 😅
A good old friend of mine told me this a long time ago. I still remember it now, it's a quote that I hold dear 🥰
Small win every day.
Instead of focusing too much on a big win that seems too far ahead, a small win every day could be something that will be much more rewarding.
We were actually talking about going to the gym, so she mentioned just going to the gym, it's a small win for her that day.
So it could be something very simple, something good that you unconsciously do as a routine, but because you do it every day, it loses its value. Think of it more, it could be drinking 6 cups of water a day, it could be doing house chores, taking the dog for a walk.
Be grateful for your every day 🥰
Last Saturday was Urban Sketchers Wellington's monthly meetup. Luckily it was a warm and sunny day, after a week of bad weather, I initially wasn't sure if I'll go if the weather is not well...
I tried to use masking tape to get the crisp corner for the first time. I did tear it slightly, maybe because I was taking it off when it's still not completely dry yet...
It actually helps you to focus on one thing instead of being overwhelmed by too much stuff in your surrounding. I wasn't feeling too well when drawing this and I feel I wouldn't be able to draw a full drawing if I don't prepare the masking tape beforehand.
I finish the small panel in less than an hour and got plenty of time left so I draw the complimentary painting on the right side. I figured I wouldn't be able to finish it if I pick something complicated so I decided to draw the dapple shades where I was sitting at.
I only brought 1 size 6 brush so it was a challenge to draw a big space...
